2007 Highlights

November 3: Due to a stress fracture, Blake will be ending his season early. Stay tuned for his 2008 plans...
September 25: Blake will race the TXTRI Triathlon on October 20, before closing out the season with Ironman Florida on November 3rd in Panama City Beach, Florida.

2006 Highlights

December 12: Catch the second in Blake's Winter Triathlon Clinic Series sponsored by Trek Bikes of Madison and Fleet Feet Sports Madison. The December 12th clinic will be held at The Trek Bike Store West starting at 7pm. Don't miss his final clinic on January 2nd. For times, locations and more information, click here.
November 15: Catch Blake in Madison for the Winter Triathlon Clinic Series sponsored by Trek Bikes of Madison and Fleet Feet Sports Madison. The clinics are set for November 28th, December 12th and January 2nd. For more times, locations and more information, click here.
September 12: Read the latest "Becker Buzz". After a character building day at IMWI I will take about week of down time before building for IM Florida.
August 16: I have decided to team up with Siri Lindley's Elite Triathlon Squad. Check out the details here: Team Sirius.
August 15: This past weekend I raced in my first professional race at the 5430 Half Ironman. In an ok race I was able to cross the line as the 10th pro.
August 11: I am gearing up for my professional race debut this Sunday, August 13, at the 5430 Half Ironman in Boulder, CO.
July 15: Despite temperatures that soared into the 90's, I successfully defended my title at the Muncie Endurathon Half Ironman in a time of 4:10:47.
June 16, 2006: After 6 weeks of training in Boulder I have decided to race Ironman Wisconsin on September 10.
May 28, 2006: Yesterday I raced the highly competitive Apple Duathlon in MN. After riding to the front of the race on the bike I managed to hang on for a second place finish.
May 7, 2006: 2011.45 miles and 4 days of traveling later, I am finally in Boulder, CO!! Training is going well and I will send out a new update shortly.
April 17, 2006: After a suprise visit to Wisconsin for the holiday weekend and a solid 2nd place finish at a local sprint race, training is back in High Gear!!!
April 10, 2006: After a few ups and downs over the last few weeks, I was able to put together a solid race and finish 9th overall at Powerman Alabama.
March 6, 2006: Training is going well and I have raced the last 3 weekends with some solid results:; Clermont 10k - 1st Overall; Tampa Half Marathon - 5th Overall; Florida's Great Escape Tri- 3rd Overall
February 3, 2006: Blake is ranked 4th in the country for the 2005 season in his age group according to the USAT National Rankings System.

January 25, 2006: I have signed with Oomph! Sportswear and will race on their CORE team for 2006. January 1, 2006: I have solidified plans to train in Clermont, FL through May and then out in Colorado for the rest of the summer. Please check back for updates!

2005 Highlights

December 1, 2005: Blake was nominated by Midwest Events for Amateur Male Triathlete of the Year.
September 11, 2005: Blake battled temperatures in the mid-90's and winds that approached 30mph at Ironman Wisconsin to win his age group and finish 38th overall.
August 28, 2005: Blake finishes second at the Accenture Chicago Triathlon. He posted the fastest amateur run split to finish in a time of 1:58:26.
July 16, 2005: Midwest Events... "Emerging as a true star on the national tri scene is Wisconsin's Blake Becker. On July 16, Becker won the Muncie Endurathon in a course record 4:07:40."
June 19, 2005: Blake Becker wins the "Best of the U.S." Wisconsin State Championship by 1:05over seocnd place at the Verona Triterium.
June 12, 2005: Blackwater Eagleman Half Ironman. On a day with conditions that resembled Kona, Blake hung on a top 15 overall finish and won his age group by over 12 minutes.
May 23, 2005: Memphis In May. Powered by a 54:42 40k bike split, Blake finishes 8th overall in PR 1:55:00 for an Olympic Distance Event.
